Product Description
This large free standing 3 room tent with is almost vertical walls has an amazing amount of living space inside. The front Combo Room has 2 large closeable windows and can be used as a floored screen room or sleeping space. The Combo Room is separated from the rear room by a sewn in divider with 2 large D shaped doors. The rear room can be divided into 2 7'6"x 6' rooms using a removable curtain. There are 2 cantilevered windows in the side walls of the rear room as well as 2 large windows in the rear wall. The rain fly has 4 large clear panels to allow light into the tent and keep things cheery. The large windows combined with the mesh roof prevent condensation build-up and a bathtub floor means no ground level seams to leak. A zippered duffle bag style storage bag, pole bag, stake bag, tent stakes, extra guy lines are all included.

Not worth the money, zero stars if possible.

I had high hopes for this tent. Giga represents itself as a company that caters to serious campers and hikers. Well if you dig further, they make quite a few kids play tents. They should stick to those. The first tent we got was coming apart at the floor to tent body seam. No big deal, seen this before. Sent it back to Campmor, they had a new one sent the next day. The next tent was fine until our third trip. First, we noticed that the tent body to floor seam was separating on this tent as well. This wasn't the big deal. During a rain storm, the fly leaked like a sieve. There is no excuse for a rain fly to leak. The 20 dollar walmart tents have flies that don't leak. Giga's do. These tents are made of very thin, cheap taffeta nylon. Other well known manufacturers, including whomever makes Ozark Trail (walmart) use ripstop. The other problem is that they use the same diameter poles for the long cross poles as they do for the short poles. So you have a half inch fiberglass pole spanning 12 feet as well as 27 feet. This is a major engineering oversight. The poles aren't thick enough to handle the stress. This has been mentioned here twice already. So, after the tent got heavy with rain, the two cross poles disintegrated. Not break, disintegrate. This is with the tent properly guyed out and supported. However, the following is the part that is inexcusable to me. After this happened, I called Giga to get their warranty service. Mary there is a gem. However, the owner Phillip actually accused me of lying and trying to cheat him. This is after he expected me to buy a new tent at pretty much full price. After pushing him, he agreed to send a new tent but in the process questioned my character. This is unacceptable. For this reason alone I would not recommend this or any Gigatent to anyone.

Good tent, Good company

We bought this tent for beach camping. We go every year and our family is getting larger. We wanted something that we could stand up in and be comfortable and that would last. The tent sets up very easily with two people and is not impossible with one. The interior space is really fantastic and the huge screens in the large room really let you open the tent up for ventilation during the day. The one flaw with this tent is that it's a little under-designed. The poles are the same diameter and materials as the smaller tents from this company, but the larger spans create more force and the poles get bendy. We had it up for a week at the beach with the fly on and with everything well staked out. It was nice and sturdy, but we started to have a few problems taking it down in a rainstorm. We had one pole that would not come apart, even with 2 sets of pliers. We had another pole with a broken chain cord, I assume from a manufacturing issue. A third pole bent as I was putting the tent up by myself back home to let the rain wash it down and then dry out. The tent was heavy from rain and sand, plus I should have had another person helping, so I'll give a bit of a pass on this one, but I was surprised at how careful you had to be. I was prepared to write a 2-star review, but the customer service of Gigatent won me over. I'm used to tent companies making me wait for 30 minutes on hold for the privilege of ordering replacement parts at high prices. With Gigatent, I went to the company web site and found that I could order through email. I was expecting free replacement of the three poles and perhaps having to return the poles. What happened is that they sent a whole new tent!

I can not explain how horrified i was when this tent collapsed on me and my husband on our first trip with it. before this i have owned only coleman tents but I wanted a bargain. The last tent i owned for 5 years but it was tatered. I deffinately did not get what i paid for. I camped at the beach, and the wind was blowing (like it always does at the beach) and the roof poles snapped like a blade of grass. Not one but two poles at the same time. I finished the last 3 days of my 6 day adventure with duct taped poles to hold my tent together. Thank god for duct tape. dont waste your money.
