Product Description
Our Rimrock is a free standing two pole design with shock-corded fiberglass poles. The poles attach to the tent with clips and at the corners with ring and pins for fast and easy set-up. Multi-pass urethane coating is applied on the fly for maximum weather protection. Extra-large No.8 zippers on the door offer extra durability. Two large mesh windows (one in the back and one in the front door) offer excellent venting and visibility. An awning fly at the front and rear permit venting of the windows in any weather. PE Tub style floor. Guy-out Loops on the fly add support in wind and rain. Mesh storage pockets, gear loft, 8'' steel stakes are also included.

Cedar Ridge Rimrock 6 Tent

I did a bit of researching before I bought my Cedar Ridge tent. The other tent I considered was a Coleman, but I just wasn't happy with my previous experience with a Coleman tent I had purchased, so went with the Rimrock. It was a bit cheaper than Coleman's Sundown (which was a plus), and seemed to have a similar design. After my first camping trip with the Rimrock, I'm fully satisfied with my decision. We got a significant rain storm on the 2nd night and we stayed totally dry. To me, there's no better test for a tent than a rain storm. There was plenty of room for my wife and I to blow up our air bed and still have plenty of room around the edges to keep all our belongings inside during the rain storm. Would recommend!

This tent is BIG. Four people can sleep comfortably and stay away from the walls. The high sides provide privacy, but when you're lying there, the large screened top provides great views. Cross-ventilation is so-so (thanks to the privacy sides) but the open top helps breathability. The tent poles ARE larger than normal. I don’t know how much stronger they are, but they are a larger diameter and a thicker composite wall. With only two poles to assemble, setup was straight-forward, but since this tent is so tall, it was a little difficult to prop up. I didn’t bother trying to tie the knot at the top, and it didn’t seem to matter. The door flap others have talked about isn't a big deal. You will need two hands to zip the door shut: one to zip and one to guide the rain flap out of the zipper path. Getting snagged isn't the end of the world either, but if it were dark, I could see (no pun intended) how this would be frustrating.
