Great Family Tent
By Candocad
I purchased two of these, and all in all, their fine. The good stuff:We found them well constructed and easy to erect. The key areas of stitching / zips etc are good, especially considering the cost of the tent. The design is good, and sufficient for a 2-5 day family adventure.Handles strong winds well.It also handled a 9 inch snow storm reasonably well, apart from the poles. The down sides:Main and secondary poles are okay, but not as robust as I would have expected. I have repaired 4 of them so far.Ventilation is key to a comfortable night, it can drip if you do not have enough sections 'open'.Standard pegs are fine for pasture only.If you treat it as a family (non-extreme) tent, you will not be disappointed, and we're on our 5th year and apart from the poles and one fly mesh their' as good a new!If you want something for more wintery / colder climates, I would suggest another tent. I have tried it as a 'hunt' tent at -15degC and its all based on the sleeping gear / a warm partner! In short a summer friend for short trips.Candocad.

Butterflies can take this out of commision
By Turkmanna
On our second outing with this tent (About a year apart from first), BOTH of the main fiberglass support poles broke off right at top where the rods were inserted into the metal connections. Mind you, the tent was not under any stress (no wind, no heavy items hanging from ceiling...). Also, it collects condensation quite easily inside. As for rain, we never had it out in heavy rain--thank goodness. I doubt it can hold back any water, as the material used is almost see through. Do no expect it will hold back any wind either. We froze in it during a mildly windy and cold night. Worst camping item I ever purchased.

Door and zipper problems
By Elaine M Horst
The worst thing about it is the door and the zipper. I liked the size and shape but a tent is no good when the zipper won't work on the door. It is also a pain to get out of. The door is up a little high and I tripped getting out several times which resulted in a tear in the screen's seam. We used it 4 times and threw it away because the zipper kept getting stuck and gaping in the center. Such a pain!
